The Village Surgery

How do I...
Make An Appointment?

You may consult any of the doctors of your choice. The doctors will see you in surgery by appointment through the receptionist.

Friends or relatives staying with you can be seen by the doctor as temporary residents.

If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know. We will try to offer you an appointment on the same day you request it, but it may be necessary to wait a day or so for a specific doctor.

Urgent Cases

An appointment is not always necessary.

Ill Children

Children who are ill can be seen without an appointment, which may be quicker than a visit. Telephone reception to discuss and make arrangements.

How do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?

If you require advice from the doctor or nurse over the telephone, the best time to telephone is between 10.30 and 11.00am. (You may be asked to telephone back if the doctor/nurse is consulting.) If you need advice urgently, telephone anytime.

How do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?

If a home visit is required, please telephone between 8.30 and 10.30am if possible. This will help the doctor to plan his rounds and avoid unnecessary delay.

Visits are for those who are housebound or those who are too ill to come to the surgery. Please try to attend surgery.

How do I...
Obtain Test Results?

Test results are usually not given over the telephone by the receptionist, please telephone over the lunchtime period to speak to the practice nurse.
